Former 3x Krazy emcee Keak Da Sneak is releasing his latest album, Mobb Boss two Tuesdays from tomorrow. The scratchy-voiced rapper who’s worked with Jake One and Mistah F.A.B., along with being featured on E-40’s 2006 hit “Tell Me When To Go” spoke briefly to HipHopDX on the album.
“[Mobb Boss] is dropping on [May] 18th through Yurps World [Entertainment] and Select-O-Hits. From start to finish, this album slaps with all the beats from my platinum homey Big Hollis,” said Keak. Hollis, also a rapper, has worked extensively with Bad Azz, MC Eiht and Layzie Bone.
Keak will reunite with Welcome To Skokland collaborator, and fellow ’90s Bay Rap veteran San Quinn on Mobb Boss. “I got San Quinn on two songs on this album, but I don’t have a lot of features on this project, so my fans can get to hear more of Keak.”
The rapper added that he may return to his 3x Krazy roots. “Right now, we are looking at the possibility of doing another 3x Krazy album this year too.” Although Keak was tight-lipped about the details of reuniting with B.A. and Agerman, the group has been out of commission from releasing albums since 2000. The trio spent the second half of the ’90s releasing three LPs and one EP, featuring appearances from The Luniz, Swoop G and the late Seagram.
