Ice-T is all set to make his debut on Rick And Morty this week after expressing his admiration for the show several times in the past.

The rapper/actor has voiced a character named Magma Q, who will appear on an episode of the sci-fi comedy series that premieres on Sunday (December 3). Show co-creator Dan Harmon based a character on the LA native back in 2015, which Harmon voiced.

“I love Ice-T and it would be a fantasy come true to have him come and do Ice-T or Water-T or any other character,” the screenwriter and comedian said in a 2018 interview with GQ. “He could be Vice President or whatever. It would be great to work with him sometime. I love his voice. That’s why I do a dumb impression of it.”

Earlier this week, the California OG himself took to Twitter to tease the upcoming cameo and wrote: “Check out the next @rickandmorty You might recognize somebody.”

Cartoon crossovers are becoming increasingly common in Hip Hop. Futurama is another show to feature one of the genre’s many legends in animated form.

Coolio’s untimely passing last year was a tragic loss, but the iconic rapper left fans with one final present on the series for closure.

In late August, Futurama aired “I Know What You Did Next Xmas” as part of their 11th season. In it, the rap veteran’s beloved character, Kwanzaa-bot, made its final appearance and spat a quick verse.

12 Slurms a-slurping/ 11 Benders burping/ 10 episodes dropping/ Nine Scruffys mopping/ 8 Leelas drinking/ 7 Zoidbergs stinking,” he rapped on the bittersweet countdown.

After a few more holiday-season references built around the show’s characters, he concluded: “And a voiceover credit for me.”

This is followed by his cartoon alias riding off into the sunset as the words “In memory of Coolio” appear on the screen.
