Ice T and model-wife Coco are set to test-run new talk show, Coco & Ice, for three weeks this summer, according to the Jasmine Brand.
The celebrity couple are not new to television, or even television with each other. Ice T has an extensive acting resume and the two co-starred in their own show, Ice Loves Coco, from 2011-2014.
With the new show, Ice T is looking to take his career to a new space.
“You can only do so much with reality TV,” the gangster rap pioneer said during a February interview with Deadline.
Set to debut August 3, Coco & Ice is an attempt by Fox to change the dynamic of daytime television.
“We see this as another attempt to do something different — big personalities, new to the daypart,” said Frank Cicha, SVP programming for the Fox TV Stations, per the Jasmine Brand. “Ice T helped change popular culture. We’re trying to do the same thing for daytime.”
Mike Darnell, head of unscripted and alternative programming for Warner Bros., will produce the show.
Fox is set to air The Boris & Nicole Show, another daytime celebrity talk show, alongside Ice & Coco this summer.

Wow. Warner Brothers TV is the production outfit behind this, after all the drama from “Cop Killer” back in 1992? Ohh-kay.. Time heals most wounds, I guess..
Ice-T still needs a proper “Best of” compilation in CD form and a boxed set.
