While The Illuminati is continuously brought up in Hip Hop, iconic Hip Hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa has taken it a step further and believes that Hip Hop has now fallen victim to what he refers to as a “Luciferian conspiracy.“
Bambaataa shared his thoughts on this conspiracy and more in a recent interview with the Chicago-Sun Times.
“Hip-hop has been hijacked by a Luciferian conspiracy,” Afrika Bambaataa explained to the Chicago Sun-Times, reports AllHipHop.com. “People have used hip-hop in a lot of ways that cause a lot of mind problems. They use the word wrongfully. They use it to mean a part instead of a whole. Like many of these [radio] stations say they’re hip-hop, they’re playing hip-hop. I go to these stations, and these so-called program directors don’t know jack crap about hip-hop culture. They know rap to a certain extent. But I question them. I say, ‘Where’s your go-go, your hip-house, your electro-funk, your raga, your R&B and soul?’ They get real quiet.”
A number of artists have been accused of being a part of The Illuminati; Jay-Z is typically the most mentioned artist when it comes to Hip Hop and The Illuminati.
Jay-Z spoke on The Illuminati accusations and referred to them as “stupid” and “ignorant” in an interview with radio station HOT 97 last year.
“I think it’s one God. I think it’s all the same God, and I don’t believe in Hell. But as far as God, of course I believe in God,” said Jay-Z. “Am I a part of some sect or cult? That sounds stupid to me. It’s like ignorant to even say, and umm…I guess that’ll be the last time I address that. It’s ignorant to me.”

If you don’t stand for something you’ll believe anything. Just because these guys were there in the beginning of the culture and started it all, doesn’t mean that they should dictate how you understand hip hop culture. Socially built cultures evolve. They were evolved by all those people coming together at certain period in time. Yeah of course there are key figures to set things in motion and I’m not saying that preserving a culture is bad. But people need to accept that things change over time, what youth enjoy changes with time.
