This week, the highest charting hip hop and R&B acts
took a bit of a drop, starting with Fabolous.
In its second week, Fab’s From Nothin’ to Somethin’ dropped from
the #2 spot to #9 with 58k this week (217k overall). T-Pain’s Epiphany drops
from #5 to #10 with 56k sold in its third week, totaling 309k. Rihanna’s Good Girl also dips a bit, as it drops from #7 to #12, selling 51k
(295k overall).
Contrary to those listed above, Ne-Yo gets a small boost, with Because
of You moving up 3 spots to #25. It sold 28k this week, bringing Ne-Yo’s total to 574k. Instant Karma: The Amnesty International
Campaign to Save Darfur – which
features Christina Aguilera, Corinne
Bailey Rae, the Black Eyed Peas
as well as others – sold 29k this week (78k overall).
DJ Khaled’s We the Best dropped 15 spots this week
to #23, selling 30k this week (109k overall). DMX’s greatest hits album Definition
of X: Pick of the Litter dropped 25 spots to #51 in its second week, with
13k sold (48k overall). The Shop Boyz
debut this week at #11 with Rockstar
Mentality selling 52k. Also making her debut this week is Chrisette Michele (who was featured on Jay-Z’s Lost Ones). Her album, titled I
Am, sold 26k.
