As many of you know, there’s nothing quite like a live Hip
Hop show. So without further adieu, HipHopDX
brings you this week’s edition of Hip
Hop Live!
This week has quite a few great Hip Hop shows lined up,
beginning with Dilated Peoples, who
will be performing tonight (June 15) at 8:00 PM at the Theater of Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Talib Kweli will be hitting the stage with special guests Common Market, Grayskul and Gabriel Teodros at 9:00 PM tonight at
the Showbox at the Market in Seattle, WA.
The show is for Noise for the Needy, a
Seattle-based non-profit organization which raises money for charitable causes
through the production of live music shows.
Lil Wayne continues
to tour in support of Tha Carter III, no
doubt hoping to continue his massive album sales [click to read]. Weezy will hit the House of Blues Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA
tomorrow (June 16) at 8:00 PM. This show followed a June 11 performance at the First Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD
which received very poor reviews. According to The Baltimore Sun, not only did Wayne showed up two hours late, but his stage
managers requested that the air conditioning be turned off as to not affect the
rapper’s vocals. To make matters worse, Wayne did not perform entire songs, and what
he did rhyme was slurred, said The Sun.
GZA has released the
dates for his latest tour, during which he will be performing his seminal album Liquid Swords, in its’ entirety:
