Starting
this week near the top of the list, Akon
steadily approaches double platinum status, as Konvicted moves 68k, bringing the singer’s total to 1.9 million
sold. Things aren’t going as well for the late great Notorious B.I.G., whose Greatest
Hits album drops 14 spots to #29. Big

One spot below
B.I.G. is Devin the Dude, whose album Waitin’
to Inhale debuts at #31, with 25k sold. A spot further is Crime Mob. The group’s album Hated on Mostly manages to push 22k this
week. J Dilla debuts this week as
well. The late producer’s Ruff Draft
debuts at #112, moving only 8k on the first week.
8-Ball & MJG plummet 20 spots to #28 in their
second week as their album Ridin’ High
moves 25k (75k overall). Eminem and
his Shady crew can’t quite seem to reach platinum, as Eminem Presents: The Re-Up drops 18 spots to #93, with 934k sold
overall. Things don’t bode well for Nas either,
as Hip Hop Is Dead drops from #93 to
#115, moving only 7k this week (689k overall).
On the
R&B/Pop side of things, congratulations to Justin Timberlake, whose FutureSex/LoveSounds
broke the triple-platinum mark this week, after 28 weeks on the charts. Finall,
Musiq Soulchild drops to #8 with Luvanmusiq pulling in 53k (203k
