    This
week, not a whole lot has changed for Akon and the Dreamgirls. Akon,
with his album Konvicted in its 12th week on the charts,
remains steady at #6 on the charts with 56k sold this week. The Dreamgirls
churn out another 55k units this week, putting them at nearly 689k sold.

    The
rap veterans are having a tough go of it as Young Jeezy, Snoop Dogg
and Nas steadily slip on the charts. Jeezy slips eight spots to
#26 with only 31k sold. Jeezy is slowly approaching platinum status,
with 802k sold. Snoop Dogg and Nas remain neck and neck as they
drop to the #49 and #50 spots, respectively. Snoop’s Blue Carpet

    It
looks like kingdom came and went for Jay-Z, who falls another fourteen
spots on the chart, to #54. Kingdom Come brings in 16k, rounding his
sales out to 1.3 million. Eminem doesn’t fair too well either as Eminem
    Presents: The Re-Up
drops nine spots to #41, with 20k on the week.

    Pretty
    Ricky

takes the #5 spot, moving 62k. This puts the group’s album Late Night
    Special
at 194k. Jill Scott’s Jill Scott Collaborations makes
a strong debut at #12 with 50k sold. Corrine Bailey Rae isn’t far behind
as the singer sells 38k this week and approaches platinum, with 949k sold
