High Times Soundtrack

After 28 years of sticking to magazines, High Times is branching out into the world of music. The newly formed “High Times Records” will be distributed by the independent Caroline Distribution. The hip hop compilation will be the first of many releases.

Given the amount of time that rappers have dedicated to rhyming about their favorite drug, you can assume that there should be no shortage of artists willing to lend their support. The list of artists that have already committed boasts some impressive names.

Heading the list is a man whose career has been defined by his love for weed, B-Real of Cypress Hill, others like RZA, The High & Mighty, The Beatnusts, Pharcyde and Black Moon have all offered their support.

Although there has been no word of their involvement as of yet, you’d think that this compilation wouldn’t be complete without the likes of Snoop, Method Man and Redman. The cleverly titled “THC” (The Hip Hop Collection) will be released on April 16th of 2002.
