HHDX News Bits (T.I., Talib Kweli and Luther Ingram R.I.P.)

    After releasing Liberation with Madlib, Talib Kweli has his sights set on colleges across the country. The 4th annual Virgin College Mega Tour will feature the BK MC along with Sugarcult.
     
    Only a few of the venues and dates have been confirmed, according to Billboard. They are as follows.
     
    San
    Diego’s 4th & B theater (April 8), Los Angeles’ House of Blues
    (April 9), the University of Arizona (April 10), Utah Valley State
    College (April 12), University of Maryland (April 19), Massachusetts’
    Stone Hill College (April 20), New York’s Mount Saint Vincent
    University (April 25), University of West Virginia (April 27), and New
    York’s University of Rochester (May 4)
    This is the first time a Hip-Hop act will headline the VCMT.
     
    In other news…
     
    T.I. has recently broken up with his pregnant girlfriend. His ex-girlfriend is Tameka “Tiny” Cottle from 90’s group Xscape. Their daughter is due in June or July.
     
    “She’s
    still a part of my life. I love her to death. Her children is still my
    children, my children are still her children. We want each other to be
    happy. It’s nothing she did and it’s nothing I did,”
    he told MTV. As we know, he is currently also working on a new album and a new film.

    In other, more somber news…
     
    R&B artist Luther Ingram
    passed away yesterday (March 19). The singer of hits such as If Loving
    You Is Wrong (I don’t Want to be Right)
    fell to kidney disease. He
    died in St. Louis.
