HHDX News Bits (Super Bowl History, Grey’s Anatomy)

Beef seems to be what’s hot in the streets for 2007. Isaiah Washington, known to the world as Dr. Burke on ABC’s hit show Grey’s Anatomy is still in hot water over allegedly anti-gay remarks towards co-star T.R. Knight. Washington
is said to have used the word “faggot” during an on set altercation several months back. Washington issued an apology, but gay rights groups aren’t having it. “Thanks for the apology, Isaiah (still waiting for yours ABC and Ms. Rhimes), but it’s too little, too late,” Michael Jensen of Afterelton.com, states. “As for ABC, what are these people thinking? Why haven’t they fired this joker as of yesterday?” In related news, Washington has also fired his publicist and an internet petition to save the actors job is floating around online.

    This
year’s Super Bowl will be history in the making. For the first time in
the game’s 41 year history, two Black coaches will take center stage. Lovie Smith’s Chicago Bears defeated the New Orleans Saints 39-14 and Tony Dungy led the Indianapolis Colts to victory over the New England Patriots yesterday. “Being
the first black coach to lead this team, of course our players knew
about it and they wanted to help us make history,” Smith said. “So I
feel blessed to be in that position.”
The Bears will meet the Colts
in Super Bowl 41, Feb. 4.
