HHDX News Bits (Snoop, Saigon & Young City)

As far as TV shows go, “The Apprentice” isn’t on the top of many people’s lists to star a famous rapper in one of its episodes. However, NBC’s hit series will do just that, as Snoop Dogg is set to appear on the show Sunday, March 4th.

The episode’s challenge will have the contestants to put on a VIP event for Lexus, in celebration of the company’s new sedan. The winners of the challenge will get to record a song with Snoop.

The episode will air on March 4th at 10 PM ET.

On Feb. 28th, rapper Saigon appear in court in Clarkstown, NY in response to charges of misdemeanor harassment and disorderly conduct. The rapper’s ex-girlfriend accused him of pouring a beer over her head and face, as well as threatening to punch her. According to XXL.com, Saigon’s ex also claimed that the rapper grabber her and used a car door to hit her left leg.

The disorderly conduct charge was added when Saigon was found screaming in the parking lot of his building in Avalon Gardens, NY and told the police “You’ll have to arrest me.”

The rapper plead not guilty to all charges, but has been ordered to stay away from his ex.

Young City, formerly known as Chopper of Bad Boy’s Da Band, was arrested last week in Gwinnett County, GA due to a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. According to Baltimore newspaper The Examiner, the rapper is being held in Gwinnett County Detention Center.

Because of his incarceration, the rapper missed a court date in Baltimore County, Maryland concerning a 2001 charge alleging that Young City robbed a man with a BB gun.

In response to the rapper’s attorney’s explanation, Baltimore Judge Patrick Stringer issued a bench warrant, with bail set at $50,000. “I’m astounded by the judge’s decision,” said Paul Gardner, Young City’s attorney. “This judge is putting in danger a million-dollar deal over a BB gun when he was 16. If he’s in jail, he can’t record. Then there’s no record deal.”
