Dave Chappelle is back. No, he is not shooting new episodes of his show but the comedian is set to star in a new film, Ballers.
The movie also features a variety of Hip-Hop performers as well. T.I., Ludacris, Memphis Bleek are also currently linked the project.
The film is currently in production and is set to be released in 2007. It is being billed as a comedy set in the world of professional football.
According to IMDB, it will be a Jerry Bruckheimer production. It will also be produced by Chad Oman and Mike Stenson.
Another actor making new films is Ice Cube. The rapper who recently released Laugh Now, Cry Later has three films in store for 2007.
The Extractors, Teacher of the Year and Are We Done Yet? are set to be released in the coming year. The films range from dramatic thriller to comedic pieces. Are We Done is the second installment of the Are We There Yet? series.
Word is, Cube also has a new TV show on the way. It is currently untitled but DX will keep you posted.
