HHDX News Bits (Kanye West, Jay-Z)

It’s been announced that Kanye West will grace one of three covers for GQ’s Men of the Year
edition. With Bill Clinton and Daniel Craig on the other 2 versions, the
issue hits newsstands on November 27th.

    While Kanye kept
quiet about the untimely passing of his mother, he does open up about a possible
    marriage with fiancé, Alexis Phifer.

“I’m just going to go and get married … I’m not going
to make a big deal out of it. It’s not to prove anything to anyone … it’s for
me, for stability in my life, and I’m so happy that I found someone that I
really love, that challenges me, that keeps my life interesting, that’s just as
    crazy as I am.”
    Ye told USA Today.

    As Jay-Z‘s latest
    album, American Gangster debuted at
    number one
during its first week sales; the President of Def Jam already had plans of a new release.

In the same fashion of Jay’s Black Album,
an acappella version of American Gangster is set to hit shelves on Hov‘s birthday; December
4th. The same day as Ghostface‘s The Big Doe Rehab and DJ Drama‘s Gangsta Grillz: The Album.

With his last acappella release of The
Black Album garnering “remixes” from every
producer and DJ that got their hands on it; most notably Dangermouse’s (producer of
Gnarls Barkley, the Gorillaz & DangerDOOM) The Grey Album
which was pulled from stores due to clearance issues with the Beatles samples.

Jay-Z’s American Gangster Acappella is available
    for pre-order on Amazon now.
