HHDX News Bits (Kanye West, 50 Cent, Common)

    Dr. Donda West finally has the opportunity to teach others how to raise a son like hers. Raising Kanye: Life Lessons from the Mother of a Hip-Hop Superstar is finally on shelves today and the duo will be in Hollywood today to sign copies of the novel.

    The former Chicago State University, English professor says that she has been penning the book since October when she was approached by publisher’s Simon & Schuster.

    In the book Dr. West talks about Kanye‘s past porno problems.

    “It was triple-X-rated and I was mad as hell. I required him to do a full-blown research paper complete with footnotes and bibliography  . . . ‘The Impact of Watching X-rated Movies on a Teen-age Boy’. Until he finished the paper to my satisfaction, there was to be no television,  no going to play basketball, no friends over.”

    The rumored track list is finally here for 50‘s new album entitled Curtis.

    The 18 track disc features the diss track,”Fully loaded Clip” and the lead single “Straight to the bank.”

    Common is prepping for his new album, Finding Forever which will feature the first single off the album, “The Game,” which includes G.O.O.D. Music founder Kanye West, who also produced eight to nine tracks for the album.

    Along with West, production will feature the likes of J. Dilla and Will I. Am. Common is also bringing along UK singer Lilly Allen for the disc.

    “Lilly Allen has style. She got a certain flavor about her, an aura that I like,” said Common.

    Finding Forever hits stores July 10.
