Everyone is talking (and
complaining) that The Clipse have been pushed back yet again. Well that’s not
quite true. I was at Jive yesterday morning and had a conversation that went as
follows:
“What the fuck are you guys
doing with The Clipse?”
“What do you mean?”
“They got pushed back again”
“Uh no they didn’t, it was always dropping in December”
“Uh The Clipse have been saying
its out on Halloween for weeks now”
“Yeah The Clipse thought they
were coming out then, but they never were…oh well there was those posters
that said the 31st, but that was just a mistake”
“Man you know how much they hate you guys?”
“yeah we know”
True story.
In other Jive news, UGK is slated to make their return as a
group before years end. It is said to feature “all the big producers right now”
and a handful of other high profile guests…
While it seems destined to
be delayed, Lil’ Jon is scheduled to make his return on December 5th
with Crunk Rock via TVT. The plan is to expand on the rock influenced sound Jon
was doing in 2005 and work with rock artists as well as rappers…
