R&B singer Brandy has finally come across a bit of good fortune, as the Los Angeles city attorney’s office said it would not be charging the singer in a fatal December 2006 car crash.

According to Billboard, spokesman Nick Velasquez said there is “insufficient evidence” for a jury to find the singer guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter beyond a reasonable doubt.

Brandy was driving on a Los Angeles freeway when traffic slowed her Land Rover smashed into the rear end of a Honda, which was involved in several other collisions. The driver, 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, died as a result.
