Gunna has faced a lot of criticism since being released on a guilty plea last December — and now, he’s seemingly embroiled in an alleged beef with YSL, as well as the rest of the rap game.
In response, Gunna appears to have turned his back on his former friends, like Lil Baby and Lil Durk, by unfollowing them on social media.

The move presumably comes after Lil Baby’s alleged diss track aimed at the rapper, as well as Durk’s comments from earlier this year, where noted that the “Wunna” rapper should’ve kept his mouth closed.

In May last year, Young Thug was arrested with Gunna and 26 others on racketeering charges related to Young Slime Life (YSL), which prosecutors allege is a criminal street gang that claims affiliation with the Bloods.
In December, Gunna and his legal team entered an Alford plea where he pleaded guilty to one charge, as it was in his best interest to do so as far as his freedom is concerned.

As a result, Gunna was sentenced to five years, with one year served. The four-year sentence left was reportedly “suspended” so that the rapper could serve the remainder through community service.
Despite rumors that he snitched, Gunna made it clear in a statement around that time that he had not cooperated with anyone.

On the music front, Gunna has seemingly pushed forward and proven that great music can outweigh the noise, as he’s currently on pace to have a major first week for his fourth album, A Gift & A Curse, despite the snitching controversy.
According to DJ Akademiks, the Young Stoner Life affiliate’s new album is looking like it will sell around 78,000 equivalent album units in its first week after being released last week.
Gunna’s new album is the follow-up to 2022’s DS4EVER, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart shifting roughly 150,000 total equivalent units in its first week.
Although A Gift & A Curse is shaping up to push past the competition on the charts, many of Gunna’s rap contemporaries aren’t too fond of him in light of the alleged snitching claims following him being released from jail last year.

In a recent Instagram Story post, YSL Mondo said that despite admiring the Atlanta rapper for his skills, none of that matters because he believes Gunna let the side down when he allegedly “folded” on Young Thug.
