Gunna Released After Pleading Guilty To Racketeering Conspiracy Charge

Gunna has finally been released from prison after agreeing to a plea deal that will credit him with time served.

According to WSB-TV, the YSL rapper (real name Sergio Kitchens) pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge when he was back in court for a virtual hearing on Wednesday (December 14).

Gunna and his legal team entered an Alford plea where he plead guilty to one charge because it was in his best interest to do so as far as his freedom goes.

As a result, Gunna was sentenced to five years with one served in prison where he’s been since being arrested in May as part of the YSL indictment headlined by Young Thug. The four-year sentence left will reportedly be “suspended” and Gunna will serve the rest in the form of 500 hours of community service.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna told WSB-TV in a statement that he never considered YSL as a gang.

“My focus of YSL was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified’ urban life in the Black community.”

You can see footage of Gunna being released below:

As for Young Thug, he remains behind bars in a Cobb County jail with his trial set to start in January.

Thugger was hit with additional charges earlier this week outside of his RICO case. He received misdemeanor charges for street racing, reckless driving and speeding. Thug is alleged to have drove a vehicle at 120 mph on Interstate 85 in May.

Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, claims the rapper is innocent on all of the charges he’s facing and is being wronged by the system.

“As of two weeks ago, that case was being resolved with a seatbelt violation,” he said in a statement. “Today, now its indicted in the Fulton County Superior Court. He is being wronged by our system.”

Young Thug was arrested with Gunna and 26 others on racketeering charges related to Young Slime Life, which prosecutors allege is a criminal street gang that claims affiliation with the Bloods.

This is a developing story. More information to come…

    1. The state denied that man’s bail and forced his hand. With that said, this is horrible decision. When someone pleads in a RICO case, it compromises the other cases. He should have never been in this predicament in the first case. Hip Hop Feds are after these dudes hard.

      1. Damn counselor. Where did you go to law school? Idiot. There is no “hip hop police.” These idiots conspired to sell drugs and there are actual murders in the charges. They then rapped about it. Young thug videos himself being pulled over for some traffic violation claiming harassment if I remember correctly. You reap what you sow. Fuck em. Fuck you too. Dork.

      1. how? were you in the room? oh you actually don’t know? did you read any of the information that was given at all? no, you didnt? so just say hes a snitch and get internet points.

      2. He switched there is court room footage of this. You want proof go to youtube and watch ceddy nash channel he has the court footage posted.

    2. This dummy saved himself. Good for him instead of going down with the ship. He’d better relocate too. He’ll have a target on his back because nobody believes you just got out a month before the trial with a suspended sentence just because. T.I. showed him the way.

    3. Zoiks, I understand no snitching, being loyal to the team but that’s for real street dudes. Gunna isn’t a street dude. Gotta save self. He’ll need to relocate asap

      1. nigga has been affiliated he was crippin before he even met young thug lol u have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about

    4. The comments in here be hilarious. Ya’ll be getting extra emotional over bozos you don’t personally know. LoL.. Homeboy is a rat. Admitting and confirming that YSL is a gang and that he witnessed the members committing crimes just sank that whole ship. I don’t care what they did or what the government thinks they did… The government has to PROVE it and Gunna just proved it for them with his admission. Now Young Thug and the rest who don’t tell will get football numbers based off of his STATEMENTS!
