Gunna‘s former lawyer is not here for his former client consistently being labeled a snitch, especially since he knows every detail of his case.
Steve Sadow represented Gunna in the YSL RICO trial, which infamously found the rapper released nearly two years before Young Thug after reaching an Alford plea deal.
And while he has maintained that no snitching was involved, fans, media and even some of his peers have labeled Gunna a rat in the time since his release.
Thug himself also appears to not be on good terms with his artist, and many think he’s hitting out at Gunna on a new snippet he shared to his Instagram Story where he raps, “Never associate with a rat/ Go and get some money, get a pack.”

After website Sports Skeeda reported on the snippet, Sadow apparently had enough and hit out at the false narrative on his X page.
“I was Gunna’s attorney but I am NOT speaking on his behalf. This long post is solely to set out the truth,” he began. “Gunna did NOT cooperate, and did NOTHING and said NOTHING to cause harm to Thug’s case. He spent 8 months in jail and was released in Dec. 2022 after entering an Alford plea. Gunna’s plea could not and was not used at Thug’s trial and he was never even named as a witness. He received a 5-yr suspended sentence, with no reporting, no travel restrictions, no living restrictions, AND NO PROBATION.
“Over the last two years, from media reports, he has performed all over the world, achieved international fame and recognition, and earned millions of dollars. Conversely, Thug went to trial and eventually pled guilty and nolo after spending 30-months in jail, received 15 years probation, with reporting conditions and is not even allowed to live in Atlanta. THOSE THAT HAVE AND CONTINUE TO BAD MOUTH GUNNA, GET OVER IT. NUFF’ SAID.”
He concluded: “Love the street rules and the dry-snitched comments. Oh the fake outrage, same old s**t. Both were charged with RICO. Both faced 20 yrs in prison. Both pled to RICO. Regardless, I’m more than willing to accept the blame for the great deal.”

Upon his release from jail in October, Young Thug sought out and received special permission from the judge who freed him to work with Gunna – but it seems like he might not take her up on the opportunity.

On November 9, Thugger posted — then quickly deleted — a message to his YSL compatriot and former codefendant.
“Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy,” he wrote.
Many have speculated about tension between Thug and Gunna since the latter’s 2022 plea deal.
He told WSB-TV at the time: “I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.

“My focus of YSL was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified’ urban life in the Black community.”
