Gunna has responded to claims he used a clone for his latest visual supplement.

On Wednesday (July 5), the 30-year-old dropped a music video for “fukumean” off his most recent LP, A Gift & a Curse. Produced by Flo and Dunk Rock, the audio graphic is a standard Hip Hop package centered on glamor and luxury.

Debuting at #16 and rising to #12 this week on the Billboard 100 the track quickly cemented itself as one of the biggest hits from the project.

However, it wasn’t the song’s success that got fans talking, but his dramatic transformation in the track’s music video — with some believing the Georgia rhymer used a clone for the process of filming.

“i’m saying tho, they cloned my boa,” suggested one Twitter user. “I don’t like to get into conspiracies but I swear every damn time one of these dudes gets locked up they come out acting completely different and look completely different. Starting to think that shit might actually be happening. Crazy to imagine,” reads one comment, offering up a conspiracy theory.

“exactly ts been happening,” rattled off another user in agreement.

Similar rumors were spread about Gucci Mane after he was released from prison and sported a dramatic weight loss.

After getting wind of the claims, Gunna himself took to social media to respond to some of the claims by writing, “fukumean.”

Others defended the rapper, arguing that weight loss doesn’t make someone a clone. While one user, in particular, alleged his new look means there are great things to come. “Ngl you look like a drip god now so now whatever you put on gon’ be fire,” the comment reads.

Despite his naysayers, the Grammy-nominated artist, who was recently released from prison after taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, seems to be making the most of his freedom. In the video, he can be seen in a sex store with his friends as they prepare for a party on his yacht, which is what the song then plays over.
