Ginuwine has more than likely became another internet meme after falling off the stage during the Lovers & Friends festival this past weekend.

On Sunday (May 7), a fan on TikTok posted footage of the legendary singer performing his 2003 hit, “In Those Jeans.” From the video, it appears as if he’s trying to jump on beat from the stage to another platform.

After he stuck the landing, Ginuwine lost his balance and attempted to regain it by grabbing one of the stagehands and ended up falling back altogether.

Concertgoers at the Las Vegas festival didn’t waste any time reposting the video on Twitter and commenting on Ginuwine’s nasty fall.

“Been defending Ginuwine from the social media jokes but he needs to give me something to work with here,” one user tweet, while another added: “Damn………his whole life has changed.”

After the video, the “Pony” singer went on Instagram and posted a video of himself laughing at the funny situation while taking all the jokes and comments in stride.

“I buss my ass I am constantly laughing with the funnies but we right back at it ATL stand up next year im windmillin so don’t miss it lolololol,” Ginuwine said. “I got it prepared already but yeah I’m good about to do what I do one mo gin [Wine glass emoji].

Ginuwine then posted a throwback picture of himself while letting fans know that he’s okay after the fall.

“I’m fine everyone I gotta say that was a drop lol but I popped back up like the rest have, show must go on but Superman is good thank y’all [Wine glass emoji],” he said.

This isn’t the first time the platinum-selling artist has experienced a funny mishap on stage. In the summer of 2022, Ginuwine was mocked for his dance moves while performing his 1998 single, “Same Ol G.” For weeks, fans made memes of the R&B singer dancing alongside the late Michael Jackson and compared him to the Family Guy character Glenn Quagmire.

Meanwhile, Ginuwine’s former bandmate Tyrese recently said their old R&B supergroup TGT — comprised of him, Ginuwine and Tank — are expected to reunite in the near future.

During an April 2023 episode of iHeartMedia’s R&B Money podcast, which is hosted by Tank and J. Valentine, the singer/actor said Atlantic Records has agreed to put out the group’s second album.

“I got some great news for you, Tank and J,” Tyrese revealed. “Atlantic Records has officially agreed to sign TGT for a second album… yeah, congratulations.”

Neither Tank nor Tyrese gave a release date for the album, believing it should not be discussed without Ginuwine present.
