Ginuwine has let it be known that his Christmas spirit doesn’t end when gifts have been given out and the winter season transitions into the summer.

On Wednesday (June 21), the “Same Ol’ G” singer was seen in an Instagram video posted by The Shade Room talking about how he was waiting for his daughter to pull up to his house in her new truck.

As Ginuwine makes his way to his front door, he walks past a massive green Christmas tree decked out with gold and red ornaments. “Yeah I still got my Christmas tree up, so what,” the singer says to cushion the hilarious onslaught of comments he knew would be on the way.

As predicted, fans flocked to the video’s comments section but most of them voiced their approval for Ginuwine still having the decorative piece up in the middle of the summer.

“Same ole treeEEEEeeee,” one fan wrote, while another said: “I use to keep my tree up to April. That joint served as a night light in the living room.” A third person told G he “might as well keep it up because Christmas will be here before you know it!”

One fan suggested that due to the size of his tree, he is more than justified in keeping it up past the Christmas holiday. “With a tree that big I’ll leave it up too, but with my Walmart tree I’m taking it tf down after the New Year.”

While fans were very forgiving on this occasion, Ginuwine has been on the receiving end of a lot of other jokes and banter throughout 2023.

In May, a video surfaced of the 52-year-old singer falling off the stage during the Lovers & Friends festival. A fan on TikTok posted footage of the singer performing his 2003 hit “In Those Jeans,” and judging from the video, it appears he was trying to jump on beat from the stage to another platform.

After he stuck the landing, Ginuwine lost his balance and attempted to regain it by grabbing one of the stagehands and ended up falling back altogether. Concert-goers at the Las Vegas festival didn’t waste any time reposting the video on Twitter and commenting on Ginuwine’s nasty fall.

“Been defending Ginuwine from the social media jokes but he needs to give me something to work with here,” one user tweeted, while another added: “Damn………his whole life has changed.”
