Ghostface Killah & Adrian Younge “Twelve Reasons To Die” Tracklist & Album Stream

Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge have announced their collaborative album Twelve Reasons to Die, releasing on April 16th and executive produced by RZA.

According to a press release, the album will be released via Soul Temple Records and is described as a mix of “classic 36 Chambers-era RZA with Portishead, and the Italian film music of Ennio Morricone.” The first offering from the album, “The Rise of the Ghostface Killah,” can be downloaded here and streamed below.

Additionally, the LP will be released in various formats including a standard CD, a deluxe double-CD with instrumentals and a mini comic book. The label will also put out a digital deluxe version with instrumentals and a digital comic book, as well as multiple vinyl formats and a cassette.

For the comic book, the imprint has teamed up with Black Mask Studios to produce a six-issue series and a collected graphic novel with “striking visuals and an intriguing dual-narrative structure with contributions from a host of stellar comic book artists.”

Ghostface and Younge will embark on a tour with the latter’s live band Venice Dawn that begins on March 14th at SXSW and will continue through June. Tour dates will be announced soon.

The Wu-Tang Clan member recently provided an update on his long-awaited full-length collaboration with MF DOOM, stating that it’s still in the works. Meanwhile, Younge helmed the Black Dynamite soundtrack and released Something About April in 2011.

      1. ^^ I get a hard on (no ocean) for real fuckin hiphop bro. It seems to be kinda obsolete these days when all I hear on the fuckin radio is 2 chainz, lil fuckin wayne, drake, and all this other watered down bullshit.

    1. Song is fire, can’t wait for the album.

Van Citys Finest. Do To These Bitch Made Rappers Like Vaginas. Bet I Go INNN!!

    2. Hip Hop’s most consistent MC of all time strikes again. Adrian Younge is a soul genius on the boards and RZA brings his signature craft as always. Release date is marked on my calendar

      1. Yeah ghostface is top 5 no doubt even that wizard cd was banging he dont have a bad album at all and supreme clientele and ironman are certified classics

      2. most consistant discography of all time, and three classics to his name (Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Fishscale)

Definitely top 5 MC at a minimum

      3. co-sign!

He really doesn’t have a bad album in his catalog. There’s not many emcees that you can say that about. definitely a legend in the game

    3. Always checking for Ghost’s new ish, but the dope album artwork is making me salivate even more. I’m also stoked to hear about the Morricone influence. Hope the Doom project comes to fruition also.

    4. Looks dope. Ghostface one of the few MCs who I’d say can convincingly carry an album alone (oddly enough at least 2 of the others, along with Ghostface, are Wu-Tang)

      1. Who? I love Wu-Tang, but they are better when they have many dudes on the tracks. I agree Ghost easily holds an album down by himself, but I’m not sure who else can.. Meth? Rae? GZA? RZA? Cappa? Deck? U-God? Masta Killa? None of them have really had incredible solo albums where they go for dolo. Their albums where they have heaps of group members involved are always fire though.

    5. ghost never disappoints. this joint gonna be legendary. check out that czarface joint from deck too. fire!

      1. czarface is the best album of the year so far. i expect it will still be somewhere near the top by the year’s end too

    6. This gonna be DOPE!! The cover looks AMAZING!! I heard Apollo Brown is gonna remix this album thats gonna be CRAZY!!

    7. For those of ya’ll not up on Portishead a lot of hip hop artist sample them ie:Heltah Skeltah’s Nocturnal and Slick Ricks Art of Storytelling (song wit Raekwon). Saturday Night Live had them Perform they’re song “Only You” back in 97′ (on youtube). Fire.

    8. This album will definitely be one of Ghost’s best. I’ve pre-ordered the limited edition bundle, I have a feeling this will be the best hip hop album of the year!

      1. I have know idea who or what “da luca” or “de lucas” are….

        BUT

The intensity in which GFK wages lyrical murder apon “de lucas” across the album is staggering….

I fear for anyone associated to “de lucas” or his peoples. Ghost is coming for ya head.

        Word Born

      2. de lucas are a new england crime family who SUPPOSEDLY were the folks who pushed dope to the masses in the ghettos back in the day..perfect fucks to wage war against ghost..#WUTANG4EVA

    9. We got bulletproof jets nigga u cant bomb us..WUTANG 4EVA MUTHAFUCKAS…#TRUHIPHOP NOW JUST DROP THIS MF DOOM JOINT AND I CAN DIE IN PEACE.

      1. If this album dont get the promotion it DESERVES it will be a travesty..its just that AUTHENTHIC hip hop we need none of that trap beat bullshit real rap raw..no chocolatedrop

      1. Okay, just listened to da album. Meant to say Lil Wayne’s I’m Not a Human Being 2 is 10000 times worse den diz shit. Wu-tang!

      1. seeing as Ghostface Killah had this style back in 1993…i don’t see how your comment makes ANY SENSE. stay in school homie. learn your history before you comment

      2. Yo get your facts straight, prick and show respect to the Ghostface Killah.
Bronson has been known for years to be “the white GFK” and they even got featured on some songs.
Don’t ever call again a member of the Wu a ripoff, you know nothing about real hiphop.

    10. Since I hate GFK and everything he stands for it ain’t too hard for me to hate on this bullshit and say this is mad garbage

    11. this album is incredible and lived up to my expectations which were extremely high. 5 stars and arguably GFK’s best album.
