Game’s DJ Nu Jerzey Devil told MTV News this week that the Compton rapper is about 80 percent done with his upcoming album, LAX.
According to Nu Jerzey Devil, Game is working with frequent collaborators Cool and Dre and Scott Storch, among others. However, there’s now news that Dr. Dre may be joining that list once more, after sitting out of Game’s previous effort – The Doctor’s Advocate.
“[Dr. Dre] dropped some stuff off,” Nu Jerzey Devil said. “But I’m not sure if Game did anything to them yet.”
Regardless of who he works with, Game seems intent on keeping his word and retiring after LAX drops. “He’s fed up with all the BS,” Said Nu Jerzey Devil on the matter. “Unless something tremendous happens with this
album, he’ll probably fall back and play the executive role. But this
album is sounding better than his first two. He’s at his peak. I’mma do
everything in my power to keep him going. I think everything will be
good.”
Game’s next mixtape is tentatively titled Am I My Brother’s Keeper, and should drop prior to his album release.
