FUBU Poised For The Comeback Of All Comebacks

Iconic streetwear brand FUBU, founded in 1992 by Daymond John, J. Alexander Martin, Keith Perrin, and Carlton Brown, is back — thanks to a new partnership with Century 21 department stores. Their capsule collection launched March 1, and available both online and in the store’s Next Century space in their Lower Manhattan location, is just the beginning of a new era for the company.

“We feel like we haven’t touched the surface on how big it can be,” Carlton Brown noted in a recent interview with Complex, adding that licensing deals for suits, underwear, eyewear, a women’s line, radio, and TV are also in play.

“FUBU is not just a clothing line … it’s a lifestyle that can play [in] many categories.”

The new collection designed by J. Alexander Martin, “Can’t Resist a Classic,” is a spin on OG FUBU styles, featuring hoodies and sweatshirts branded with the classic FB logo.

    1. Wiggers everywhere are super pumped to freshen up their wardrobe with some brand new FUBU. The people have been waiting for this for far too long.

    2. Yea those 49 likes really make me think it’s what the people want, FOH with that racist bullshit, it’s 2019 try bringing that shit back in today’s climate you’ll get buried inside a month.

    3. If it does come back it will be with a different demographic market than it had in the 90s. Once a brand goes out of style and people know it as an outdated brand, it’s very hard to lose the stigma of being out of style, at least I’ve never seen it happen.

    4. It can be done, I just think the name of the brand can’t be so “in your face”. They haven’t earned that level of status just yet. Start out with something simple that you can wear on some everyday type shit and go from there. And the second a rapper becomes your leading man/woman, it’s a wrap.

    5. Hi.
      My name’s Mark.
      And I’m white.
I live in a predominantly white neighborhood.
I went to a predominantly white college.
And I have predominantly all white friends.
But at night, while all my white friends are asleep,
      I bump this.

    6. I hope great things for this brand but if it’s not black owned & mainly black employed,i don’t think me & my family will be supporting for OBVIOUS reasons. I also don’t think many black folks will jump back on fubu cause we self hate, don’t really support black owned businesses & only want white european designers to feel IMPORTANT. If they get some newer younger cool black rappers, entertainers,& social media stars to do some campaigns,it might make a big comeback, why not remakes & 90s nostalgia is at all time high.

      1. The obvious reason that you and your family are ignorant tiny minded bigots who define yourselves by your skin colour, yep, obvious, and sad.

    7. Like I was trying to say Fat Albert Fubu collection era was one if Hip Hop fashion proudest moments and if I was. Shark Tank I’ll invest the first two people I ever seen wearing Fubu in the state of South Carolina was the Gilchrist Twins anf Mercy make a joke about that he would Pubu on their Fubu but then everybody in the HIP HOP Culture seen how the FubuINV. Came up they Hoodie game was strong ! SONG of the day Keith Murray , LL Cool J, and Trina ( Fatty )

    8. Nah, I only rock overpriced Italian brands that my neighbors can’t afford. That way I feel better about myself and it helps me look down on everyone else.

      1. Hey dont forget the gotta drive a foreign car too couldnt even think of bein seen by the peons riding american
