Freeway Signs To Babygrande Records, Preps “Diamond In The Ruff” Album

Freeway has signed to Babygrande Records, with plans to release his album Diamond in the Ruff on the imprint on November 13th.

According to a press release, Free is slated to drop his first release since 2010’s The Stimulus Package through Babygrande. The LP is set to include features from Wale, Musiq Soulchild, Styles P, Marsha Ambrosius and more, as well as production from Bink!, Jake One and Needlz.

“Freeway is a legend. ‘Philadelphia Freeway’ is easily one of my favorite albums of all time,” said Ruddy Rock. “From his time working with Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella to his independent releases, Freeway remains one of the most consistent artists. We’re excited to partner with him and [manager] Amir for ‘Diamond In The Ruff.’”

Freeway is currently prepping the release of his new mixtape Freedom of Speech.

    1. What are you talking about? Freeway makes a living off rapping. I think that means he’s pretty marketable. The Stimulus sold pretty well too.

    2. Watch out, Babygrande has been known to be shady as fuck business people. Look into what they did to Jedi Mind Tricks.

      1. Co-sign… VERY bad luck for Freeway. Babygrande is bullshit and either fucked over or totally dropped the ball on EVERYONE.

Unless Free was dropped by Rhymesayers I don’t know why he’d leave. Might as well record for dipshits like Nature Sounds.

    3. Nooooooooo not a good look for free…chuck wilson has been put on blast by a buncha artists including alchemist who put him on blast two days ago…

    4. A Legend LoL. He’s got one of the most annoying high pitched voices I’ve ever heard, shit is horrible.
