Frank Ocean graced the stage last night at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, performing a stripped-down rendition of his ballad “Thinkin Bout You.”
The Odd Future crooner sang against a bare piano and guitar accompaniment throughout the performance. Bathed in a red light, Ocean transformed the stage into a bonfire, sitting on a rock-shaped seat in front of a bundle of flames and a backdrop of the night sky.
Ocean recently released his debut album Channel Orange, which debuted at No. 2 on the strength of 131,000 digital downloads from the iTunes store.
