Foxy Pleads Not Guilty in Assault Case

Foxy Brown, who has had nothing but controversy surrounding her name in recent months, entered a plea of “not guilty” yesterday (Oct 16th) to charges of assault, attempted assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to the Associated Press, Foxy came to court in casual clothing to enter her plea. This was after her refusal twice to appear in court last Friday. Prosecutors rescheduled her appearance for Tuesday, after warning her that if she refused to show up, she would be brought in by force.

The rapper is currently serving one year in Rikers for violating her probation. This newest assault charge stems from an incident where Foxy allegedly struck her neighbor Arlene Raymond. Raymond claims that Foxy threw her cell phone at her after Raymond complained about the volume of her car streo.

Foxy is due back in court December 17, and has an album titled Brooklyn’s Don Diva due out in a month.
