Bacon’s family members confirmed his passing to local news station 10 Tampa Bay, with his aunt saying: “It’s a grief I’ve never felt before. You never want to bury your 25-year-old nephew.”

350Heem was celebrating his new mixtape Taking Chances 3, which was released on streaming services on July 22. According to a 2021 tweet from famed record label Motown Records, Heem was signed to the imprint in 2021 amid going viral on TikTok.

However, its website does not currently list him as an artist and TC3 does not have Motown listed as a distributor on streamers.

Jamilah Johnson, 23, has been arrested in connection to the shooting, with a firearm recovered at the scene that was later discovered to have been reported stolen in 2015. Johnson faces one charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. She is being held in Polk County Jail without bond.

The shooter has not yet been identified. It remains an open and active investigation.

The death is eerily similar to that of fellow burgeoning artist Casino Jizzle, who was shot and killed earlier in July just days before the release of his new album.

On the July 4 holiday, the up-and-coming rapper (real name Robert Tunstall) was fatally shot in northeast Memphis, as confirmed by his manager. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 27-year-old artist was gearing up for the release of his new album, DUH, which dropped on July 7. He was unsigned at the time of his passing.

After a warrant was issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Michael Clayton in connection to the murder, he was picked up by cops at about 1 p.m. on July 10 and “taken into custody without incident,” according to police.

Clayton had been identified as a suspect from the start of the case, and a warrant charging him with first-degree murder was issued July 4, the day of the shooting.

HipHopDX sends its condolences to 350Heem’s family and friends.
