Flo Rida Performs On MTV’s New Years Special

After becoming one of the most celebrated new rap faces of 2007, Flo Rida will be performing his hit single, assisted by T-Pain, “Low” on MTV‘s annual New Year’s Eve Special next week. The song has been a top-seller on iTunes in November, along with considerable radio chart success.

The Sunshine State star will release his debut album in March, on Atlantic Records. The effort is titled Mail On Sunday. Of the peculiar title, Flo Rida told HipHopDX, “It’s something we say down here. It means you can get whatever you want – the impossible, like mail on Sunday.

The album features appearances from Lil Wayne, Sean Kingston, Rick Ross, Brisco, Trey Songz and T-Pain. The aforementioned single “Low” will also be prominently featured in the film and soundtrack of Step Up.

Flo Rida is the second major artist (after Rick Ross) to hail from Poe Boy Entertainment. The rapper was first heard by many on DJ Khaled‘s recent We The Best album on the track, “Bitch, I’m From Dade County.”
