Flavor Flav has recorded new music with Chuck D that’s he’s planning to release soon, with an instrumental album also in the works.

During a recent interview with TMZ, the Public Enemy member opened up about getting back into the studio with Chuck, stating nobody has heard their new material yet.

“You’ve got more music from me to look forward to, I know that,” he said. “I got some more music coming out too. I’ve even got some stuff that me and Chuck [D] recorded. I ain’t let nobody hear it yet. I’m getting ready to throw it at y’all in a minute.”

He also touched on dropping an instrumental album that will be single-handedly produced by himself.

“I’m gonna surprise y’all with an-all instrumental album from Flav,” he said. “You gon’ hear nothing but instruments, music. It’s gonna be all played by myself. Keyboard, bass guitars, a lot of the percussion instruments.

“But I’m gonna probably have a couple of other players on there too, but mostly everything is gonna be played by me. By myself.”

When it was suggested André 3000 could play the flute, he said: “That’s my guy. André 3000, that’s my dude.”

Flavor Flav previously stated there wasn’t any real “beef” with Chuck D in December after naming him in a 2017 lawsuit and the comments that were made in the aftermath.

“[Me] and Chuck, we never really was beefing,” he said at the time. “There wasn’t no beef. Because I love my partner, and I know he loves me too.

“Sometimes you don’t see eye to eye on everything. But one thing about me and Chuck, we always manage to pull it back together to see eye to eye and to keep moving forward.”

Elsewhere in his new TMZ interview, Chuck D opened up about his journey to finally earning a high school diploma that will also be a reality show.

“Some more reality TV coming up for [me] but no dating shows! It’s not the dating show thing, man,” he said.

“I’m going back to high school to get my diploma! That’s what my show is going to be about. Flavor Flav goes back to high school to get his diploma and I’m getting it for real. Not a GED, bro. I want my diploma.”

He added: “If I want that diploma, it’s just something that I ain’t got no choice but to adapt to.”
