Recently, rapper Fabolous came forward to respond to media reports that he was in any way connected to or even present for the stabbing of a childhood friend inside a New York nightclub.
Numerous reports stated that Fab was in Club Duvet on Nov. 23, mere hours before Shamel McKinney, 25, was stabbed to death by three people.
Reportedly, McKinney was a member of Fab’s Street Family Crew, an alleged group that robs celebrities for their jewelry at nightclubs in New York. In a statement to AHH, Fabolous dismissed these accusations.
“I would like my fans and supporters worldwide to know how disappointed
I am in some of the media for the misrepresentation and abuse of my
name. I do not want the young people who listen to my music and watch
my videos to believe that I am engaged in any illegal activities that
would discredit my character.”
In the investigation for McKinney’s murder, a bloody 7-inch folding knife was found in a dumpster shortly after his murder.
Both Fabolous and his attorney maintain that he was not present for the incident, or connected to any larger organization.
