Fabolous & Foxy Brown Associate Eric “Carl” McKinney Killed In Brooklyn

Eric “Carl” McKinney, a 31-year-old Brooklyn, New York-based music producer and close associate of Fabolous, was shot and killed in his home borough Sunday (October 11).

McKinney, who, according to AllHipHop, was once the brother-in-law of Foxy Brown, was shot while sitting in his black Jeep Wrangler at a red light just before 11 pm local time.

Following the incident, the father of three tried to drive himself to the nearby hospital, despite being shot in the left arm and torso; however, he later crashed his car at Ashland Place and Dekalb Avenue, according to ABC7.

McKinney was pronounced dead at the Brooklyn Hospital Center.

No arrests have been made. It is still unclear whether McKinney was specifically targeted or if he was the victim of a random robbery.

Both Fabolous and Foxy Brown took to Instagram to mourn McKinney’s death.

HipHopDX sends its condolences to Eric “Carl” McKinney’s family and friends.

    1. Agree with White Wise Man. Just because dude hung out with rappers doesn’t mean it automatically has to be a story on DX. Nobody knew who this nigga was when he was alive, and they damn sure ain’t gonna remember him when he’s dead.
