Erica Banks has seemingly taken a swipe at her now-former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, in a new song preview.

The snippet, which hit social media on Wednesday (June 29), features the “Buss It” rapper spitting furiously off the top, making it clear that her controversial label is holding on to her hard-earned coins.

Now they got time to come see me/ Bitch, in my DM, they all tryna see me,” she began. “Hoe, I’m busy, I’m drownin’ in VVs/ Hook me up with a show up in 3D/ I give a fuck about that life, when they see me/ And they owe me some money, man, they greedy.

When a commenter remarked that Banks “needed a new label” because 1501 didn’t seem to know what they were doing when it came to her talent, she revealed that she wasn’t with the label anymore.

Take a listen to the snippet of the song below:

Erica Banks isn’t alone in her accusation that 1501 Certified Entertainment owes her some money.

Megan Thee Stallion, who is currently in active litigation with the Carl Crawford-led label, claimed back in April that her former label was actually draining their bank accounts to avoid paying the Houston Hottie what it owes her.

According to documents obtained by TMZ in April, Meg has filed a motion in court claiming that Carl Crawford is taking the money that should be going to her. She alleged that 1501’s primary bank account currently has less than $10,000 left in it, despite much more being deposited – millions more.

Meg said only Crawford and fellow execs J. Prince and Gee Roberson are getting paid, and she’s filing the motion out of protection for the future outcome of her pending lawsuit against the label. She’s asking the judge to appoint a third party to take over managing 1501’s finances.

Megan Thee Stallion’s legal battle with 1501 dates back to 2019. The issues began shortly after the Houston Hottie signed a management deal JAY-Z’s Roc Nation, allegedly without 1501’s knowledge.

As for Erica Banks, she went viral last year after the statements she made about the physical requirements of being able to party with her earned her some backlash.

The Dallas rapper went viral after an IG story intended for her ‘Close Friends’ feed leaked. In the clip, Banks makes the revelation seemingly unprompted, while explaining why she feels it necessary.

“If she don’t look how I want her to look physically, I don’t want her to come,” she said in the clip. “Because the look of everything is so important to me. If she ain’t thick enough? Nope. Hair not did good enough? Nope. Can’t dress? Nope. Skinny? Nope.

“And it’s like, I don’t feel like I’m discriminating,” Banks continues. “I just want a certain type of look. She could be the sweetest girl I ever met in my life, but if she don’t look the part, I don’t want her to come. That’s just the vibe I’m on.”
