Eminem’s mother, Debbie Nelson, has been sued by a man who alleges he helped her in the process of developing a tell-all book about her son.
According to the Detroit News, Neal Alpert claims in an Oakland County Circuit Court lawsuit filed on Monday (April 7) that Nelson developed the book while under contract with him.
The lawsuit alleges that in 2005, Nelson and Alpert entered into a contract in which he would be her agent, and receive 25 percent of the gross profits from the book, titled “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.”
The lawsuit alleges that the book has sold 100,000 copies in the United Kingdom since last year. It is set to hit U.S. stores this week.
