With next week marking the beginning of a new, streaming-friendly era in Billboard’s album chart rankings, early predictions are in for the first week sales numbers for Shady Records’ new compilation album Shady XV.
The Shady XV compilation album is slated to sell between 140,000 and 150,000 copies its first week in stores according to Hits Daily Double. Now that the Billboard 200 will account for album streams as well as a metric called TEA (or “track-equivalent album) beginning next week, Hits Daily Double projects a total of count of 155,000 to 165,000 copies and streams for Shady XV. (The new Billboard system counts the sales of ten singles as equivalent to the sale of an individual album and 1,500 audio streams as an album as well.)
Eminem’s last album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, was released just over a year ago in early November 2013 and entered the Billboard 200 as the #1 album in the country with first week sales of 793,000 albums.
Rick Ross’ latest album Hood Billionaire, his second in less than a year, is slated to sell between 70,000 and 75,000 units with the new TEA and streaming system accounted for.
Sales projections for the Platinum Edition of Beyonce’s self-titled album put the album’s first week sales numbers at between 50,000 and 55,000 albums with an additional 20,000 to 30,000 units possible from streams.

Ya’ll people are lost. This is an compilation album. Hell the sequel also didnt big numbers compared to his solo studio album. There wasn’t big promotion and excitement as when Eminem drops a solo studio album. Nobody flops here

With ANY Shady Records albums, you need to think about the Pre-Order Bundles .. They ALWAYS sell out .. That’s straight Ca$h money .. So whatever the numbers are — you can bet they are still making their $ .. Shady Records as a Business is Incredible .. They treat their Fans really well and in return we support them with our $ .. Not many Artists have that relationship .. Just wait until Love Story comes out .. I am going to single handedly make that ish Sold Out in every store within a driving distance near me
