Eminem On Bruno Stunt and Jay-Z Show

During last week’s MTV Movie Awards, Eminem walked out of the show with an outraged look on his face after comedian Sacha Baron Cohen (dressed as his new film’s character Bruno) came down from the ceiling, with his rear end fully exposed, and landed on Mr. Mathers‘ lap. The show’s producer’s caught the stunt and images of Cohen’s rear end in Em’s face hit the net soon after [click to read]. Although Slim Shady stormed out in anger, many thought the stunt was planned. Still, the speculation had some believing Em may not have been in on the matter. Slim finally spoke out about the Bruno incident in an interview with Rap Radar [click here].

Sacha called me when we were in Europe and he had an idea to do something outrageous at the movie awards.  I’m a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag.

Not only was he happy to get involved, he is actually happy with the way it worked itself out saying it worked better than it did when they practiced.

I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it.  It had so many people going ‘nuts’ so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it.”

Instead of hitting the party scene after the show, Em says he went to his hotel room.

After the ceremony I went back to my hotel and laughed uncontrollably for about three hours. Especially after I saw it on air.”

He went on to say that he didn’t lose any money or his laptop in a hotel robbery, saying that was merely a rumor.

Slim also went on to speak about his recent show with Jay-Z at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. The show was a star studded event for the new video game DJ Hero that went on “secretly” even though many celebrities spoke about it via Twitter. One of the show’s highlights, a live version of “Renegades,” hit the net soon after.

“I love performing with Jay. Its the third time we’ve done the song together live and its always fun. It was an honor to share the stage with him again and to work with his band.”
