Eminem has now become a father-in-law, as his daughter Alaina got married over the weekend in the rapper’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
The 30-year-old adopted daughter of the rapper, who he calls “Lainey,” married longtime boyfriend Matt Moller on Friday (June 9), and her younger sister Hailie Jade Scott was even in tow as a bridesmaid.

It’s unclear from the photos and clips shared to Alaina’s Instagram if Eminem was in attendance, but notably, a compilation TikTok from the wedding was soundtracked by JAY-Z’s “Public Service Announcement.”
“June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life,” Alaina wrote in a separate Instagram post. “In this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours.”

Eminem formally adopted Alaina in the early 2000s as her mother – the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Scott’s twin sister Dawn – battled drug addiction. She died of an overdose in 2016, and Kim took a moment to pay homage to her beloved sister in a heartfelt obituary.
“Dawn was my sweet, beautiful sister who lost her way,” Kim wrote in her obituary. “I kept a light lit for her hoping she’d find her way back to me. I miss her and love her more than anything I could ever say. I wish she was here so I could hug her and tell her I love her.”

Em’s other daughter Hailie Jade also got engaged in February to her longtime boyfriend Evan McClintock, with Alaina shouting out her “sis” in a loving Instagram post at the time.
“My sis is finally engaged,” she wrote. “There’s not many moments in life that leave you feeling pure bliss, but this has to be one of them. To look at my younger sister and see her living her best life — one that some may think was always easy, has me over the moon.”
She continued, “She’s crushing her career right now, crushing being one of my Maid of Honors, crushing her podcast, and everything else that she touches. I have no doubt you’ll crush being a wife, too. You deserve this and more Hay. Being able to plan my own wedding and now experience this with you takes the cake. Can’t wait for this next chapter of life with the coolest bro in law – lucky is an understatement.”
Eminem had previously spoken about all of his children in a candid interview with Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson,and noted that his kids are his greatest accomplishments.

“Hailie is 23,” he said. “Not babies, nope. Just a boyfriend, and she’s doing good. She’s made me proud for sure. She graduated from college, 3.9. It definitely is crazy.”
He added: “I have a niece that I have helped raise too that’s pretty much like a daughter to me and she’s 26, and then I have a younger one that’s 17 now. So when I think about my accomplishments, that’s probably the thing I’m most proud of — being able to raise kids. It’s definitely important to keep your kids grounded when there’s situations like we have.”
