Eazy-E’s death is portrayed in the forthcoming movie Straight Outta Compton, which is due in theaters Friday (August 14). The N.W.A rapper died from complications due to AIDS in 1995.
“Eazy taught us that AIDS was real, not just for big-time celebrities or movie stars, but it you’re right here in the hood, you can get it, too,” Ice Cube says to MTV. “He’s gonna reteach that lesson with this movie because it’s still a big epidemic in our community.”
Ice Cube left the group in 1989 and feuded with the group, releasing his “No Vaseline” diss track. Cube was able to reconcile with Eazy-E before his death.
“Life is short,” Cube says. “Bury any hatchet when you can. If you got any issues you’re dealing with, now’s the time to mend it ’cause you never know if you’re gonna have that time. I’m glad I was able to mend things with Eazy before he passed and talk to him. It was like old times again.”
Fellow N.W.A member DJ Yella says that he didn’t know Eazy-E had AIDS at the time of his death.
“Last thing he told me on the phone, he said, ‘Watch it,'” DJ Yella says. “But he never told me about the AIDS. He didn’t want me to know. It’s dangerous out there for the world. It’s real.”

The movie Straight Out Of Compton really touched my heart. I had a brother pass away from AIDS in 1992(he was in late twenties ) big up to NWA, the movie is more than powerful——- it is life changing……
The movie was amazing the movie was great best movie I’ve seen in awhile the only question Nd the only thing I disliked was eazy es disses on dr dre weren’t potrayed all his disses on death row he went solo as well and it didn’t potray his straight off of the streets of mothafck in compton should have been potrayed from his solo album because eazy e got pissed as well they kind of just made it seem like he quit tht deal with heller and tht wasn’t just the case
As soon as they went there with No Vaseline I thought for sure they would also show Easy go back at Death Row, Dre, and Snoop with Real MFN G’s and It’s on. A little disappointed they didn’t touch on it more but otherwise it was a great movie.

I loved the movie and was saddened by easy Es death, I was bothered by sugar nights actions that really irritated me
