On August 30th, EA Sports will unleash Madden NFL 12, the latest installation in their cult favorite football gaming series.
To commemorate the end of the recent NFL Lockout, which threatened to derail the regular football season, the popular gaming company has created 50 Madden EA VIP kits for industry tastemakers and a few lucky fans. In addition to a copy of Madden NFL 12, the VIP kits include a customized PS3 engraved with the tagline “It’s Time,” a pair of Monster headphones and a custom New Era snap back emblazoned with “I Am The Madden Curse.”
The specialty kits have already been gifted to rappers that include Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Game and 50 Cent; NBA players such as Amare Stoudmaire, Lamar Odom and John Wall; and NFL stars like Chad Ocho Cinco and Terrell Owens.
Fans have a chance to score one of the 50 VIP kits by checking out the Insider Deals on EA’s Facebook page.

So EA is going to make regular people who work regular 9 to 5 jobs pay for these special kits but they give millionaire rappers the same kits as gifts. Fuck that. I’m not trying to argue with anyone but the reason they give away free stuff to stars is branding. If you see 50 cent/Kobe Bryant ect. In a Obey shirt it’s going to make people think that brand is cool so they got out and buy the shirt. It’s a brilliant free marketing move that really works.
