Duck Down Records has teamed up with hair product line Motions to feature a VIP lounge for NBA All-Star weekend in Dallas.
Today and tomorrow, attendees of All-Star weekend will have the opportunity to visit the Motions lounge by appointment to gain free fashion tips from professional hair and make-up stylists. Veteran rapper/deejay MC Lyte will also be in attendance as a special guest deejay for the event.

In other news, Chart Vision (previously done by Urban Network) will be holding its sixth Be Seen Be Heard in Los Angeles next Saturday (Feb. 20).
Gaining success through its previous events, Be Seen Be Heard allows independent artists the opportunity to have their records critiqued by professionals in the music industry, as well as network with them in the process. Finally, Swollen Members will be performing at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games on February 15 for their “Whistler Live Fire and Ice” party.
The show will be a homecoming for the Vancouver natives, who have been traveling non-stop since releasing Armed To The Teeth last fall. “For Swollen Members to play an official Olympic event in our own city is a milestone and a great honor,” explained Prevail. “This performance will give us a chance to be seen by the whole world and this is going to be a career highlight for all of us.”
After finishing up their current tour (dates below), Swollen Members will also be releasing their first greatest hits album on March 16. The compilation will feature 18 tracks from a catalog that spans six different albums.
