Kid Cudi‘s upcoming album, Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager, is getting ready for its late October release. The G.O.O.D. rapper’s sophomore album will include only a few features, as he told Spike TV.
“Man, when it comes to features, I kinda just stick to my homies,” he said. “My peoples Chip Tha Ripper, GLC [who is] a G.O.O.D. Music affiliate. Got my boy Cage over there, and Mary J. Blige on the album. We got Cee-Lo on the album. It’s just really taking off where we last stopped.”
The album releases on Oct. 26.
In other news, Spike Lee is set to direct a live webcast of a concert headlining The Roots and John Legend. The show takes place in New York next week.
The concert will follow the release of Legend and The Roots’ joint album “Wake Up!” which covers songs from the ’60s and ’70s like Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’ “Wake Up Everybody” and Donny Hathaway’s “Little Ghetto Boy.”
Lastly, ’80s Rap group The Fat Boys will be highlighted in an episode of TV One’s “Unsung.” The one-hour biography focuses on the careers of artists and groups who fail to connect with audiences despite massive talent.
In addition to The Fat Boys, George Clinton, the O’Jays, and many others will be featured on the show.
The Fat Boys ‘Unsung’ airs on Oct. 18 on TV One.
Def gunna ck that unsung, for those who DONT know, yall gotta check for that series, really good work by TVONE (aka what BET used to be.)
Getting pretty sick and tired of this sequel gimmick. Just cuz Raekwon and CNN pulled it off don’t mean you can do it too.
