eMusicBlast.com, an established site that allows aspiring artists to get their music reviewed by industry professionals will be hosting its first annual Music Network Conference in Philadelphia on May 15.
With the event being divided into three different components, artists will be able to attend executive panel discussions on music contracts and digital marketing, have their music reviewed in-person by industry A&R’s, and perform live for the featured panelists. Expected A&R participants include Tony G of G-Unit Records, Steve Owen of Def Jam Records, and Octavius Crouch of Universal Records.

In other news, Chilean rapper Ana Tijoux will be releasing her U.S. debut album 1977 on April 27.
Described as ode to the golden era of Hip Hop, 1977 features a myriad collection of laid back sound beds mixed with jazz instrumentation to compliment Tijoux’s growing lyrical abilities. Recently performing at SXSW, she is currently finishing up a promotional tour for the album with concerts in New York (4/8), Boston (4/9), and Hartford, Connecticut (4/10).
Tijoux’s 1977 will be released through Nacional Records.
Finally, a handful of deejays from the world-renowned Scratch DJ Academy will be featured through the Macy’s in-store Kipling Color Jam Tour.
