Common has joined forces with Diesel’s Only the Brave fragrance in a campaign which features much of Hip Hop’s up-and-coming talent.
Nipsey Hussle, Big Sean, Vado and Donnis will be followed by cameras for a video series titled Diesel Presents…Only the Brave, beginning in August. The series leads up to a VIP concert in New York City on October 12. The four emcees will be joined by Common for the show.
The documentary is set to be aired on MTV 2.
French Montana is close to inking a major label deal, reports AllHipHop.com.
“As far as the label I didn’t really decide who I am going with yet. I’m working with Mizay Entertainment, but yea it’s in the air right now. I’m gonna try and figure it out before I start talking about it,” explained French.
“I got a project coming out with Three 6 Mafia that’s called Cocaine Mafia, I got a mixtape dropping this week called Coke Boyz Mixtape. I got a Cocaine City DVD coming out in September called Excuse My French. That’s mostly what we got going on now,” said the rapper of what’s currently on his plate.
Montana also briefly addressed a beef with Jim Jones, saying that it was merely a miscommunication, and that he is on good terms with Cam’Ron and Juelz Santana. He also theorized Jim Jones had a problem with him due to his recording music with Max B, with whom Jones had a falling out.
“I think its like, with Max and Jim, because they were friends and he [Max B] was signed to his label and after that broke up it was just real crazy…Whatever happened between them was around when I started making music with Max… You know how they say guilty with affiliation?”
Finally, Swizz Beatz‘ album is going through yet another title change. Originally slated to be titled The Perception of Greatness, the album’s title is now Haute Living.
“MY NEW ALBUM NAME IS (HAUTE LIVING ),” explained that producer/rapper via his Twitter page (@therealswizz). “BECAUSE THATS MY ART ,FASHION, MUSIC, LIFE STYLE HAUTE MEANS THE HIGHEST LEVEL!”

Wow. Just wow…@ French throwin Max under the bus. U had beef wit Jim cuz u had beef wit him after u got shot n Jim ran around talkn like he got u shot. Then Max start fukkn wit u when he knew u had beef wit Jim bcuz he did 2! But for different reasons. Wow @ Swizz gettin corny with the album title that nobody gonna buy anyway.
