DX News Bits: Chiddy Bang, Big Sean, Cory Gunz

This summer, electro/Hip Hop duo Chiddy Bang will release both an EP and their debut album with the backing of Virgin Records/EMI Music.

“We could make a million soul sampling records everyday but that’s not what Chiddy Bang is about. It’s about making great music, great hip hop and pop. Virgin Records/EMI gives us the ability to do that”, said Chiddy in a statement. “It’s been a wild year, from hustling those dorm room parties with Swelly Express to hearing our single on London radio. Being signed to EMI, the home of Snoop Dogg, Depeche Mode, everyone we admire is the dopest thing we could ask for.”

The duo, which consists of rapper Chiddy and producer Xaphoon Jones, have already infiltrated various television music networks with the music video for their single “Opposite Of Adults.” The music video has been featured on MTV, MTV2, and MTV and was even granted the approval of rapper Kanye West.

Chiddy Bang’s EP will be released on June 1 while their first ever studio album will be released on August 20.

In other Hip Hop news, rappers Big Sean and Cory Gunz were featured in a video highlighting LRG’s summer 2010 line.

The almost four-minute long video, which is set to the music of Sade and Kid Cudi, features Big Sean, Cory Gunz, and others modeling LRG’s latest looks.
