14 years after the death of legendary figure Tupac Shakur, new Death Row President John Payne plans to release the first full-length album of original material from the West Coast rapper since The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.
In an interview with VIBE.com, Payne stated the album will likely be released around Christmas time. “This is unreleased 2Pac…no remastering or remixing…The songs are from a collection of tracks that were recorded during his Death Row days around All Eyez On Me. I believe that these songs could have been 2Pac’s next record if he were still alive.”
In other news, deejay/streetwear fashion designer Aaron LaCrate will be putting on a special performance in New York next Wednesday (May 19) to commemorate the release of his Milkcrate t-shirt “The Godly Collabo” with veteran emcee Rakim and British photographer Janette Beckham.
Along with LaCrate and Rakim, other performers for the night include DJ Clark Kent and MZ Streamz, who is also celebrating the release of her debut mix album It’s Alive. Presale tickets for the show are available at musicislove.net.
Finally, Los Angeles rapper Sum-In-1 has released his debut solo album Anywhere today on Acropolis Records. Among other features, guest spots on Anywhere include Slug of Atmosphere, C-Rayz Walz and his own group The Metamorphs.
Sum-In-1 will be holding two album release parties, one tonight at The Airliner in Los Angeles (along with Reef The Lost Cause), as well as tomorrow night at Club M in Laguna Beach.
YEA YEAAA, 2PAC ALIVE, yall thought the greatest went out like that in vegas of 96 hell naw, 2pac faked his death, he was too smart, 2pac comes out with a new album every year. This album gona be dope.
how much music did tupac have in the vault, he lived in the studio, i will be getting this when it drops, everybody always say this would have been his next album if he were alive today, Tupac was smart and he could tell you things before they were gonna happen and he would look at one situation from all angels, thats why he was able to say r.i.p to biggie on god bless the dead, he knew what was gonna happen under any time. so now we got these record execs that put our heros records out and try to predict how they would do their business,if it was or wasnt goin to be his next album you dont have to say that.
“I made this song a real long time ago..” -Dave Chappelle
“What can a n*gg* do,
When half the people voted for George W.
Life’s a bitch, cause George W., can’t be true,
I wanna choke him, cause he’s a snitch,
I’m talkin’ bout George W. Smith, from city council,
He ran in ’93 out in Oakland, you probably didn’t hear about him.”
I had to goto Youtube…That great stuff…..
finally someone seems to understand that you dont need to remix or change Pacs music. release it as he made it and ill buy it, thats what he wanted. TUPAC is easily my fav emcee and no doubt the most important.
DX, you’ve had an album called ‘Shakurspeare’ on your releases list for the past few weeks now…
Shakurspeare is supposed to drop digitally on june 16 (birthday) but it was supposed to drop Sept. 13 last year (13th anniversary of his death). However, dude was havin legal issues wit afemi so who knows if itll be released.
(siigh) why are there so many idiots in the world
If u have a child who lives in Ga and they are going 2 college away from home pls have a conversion wit them about taking there core classes in there hometown 2 so that can learn how 2 adapt 2 the college and adult life, the teachers that they now have can supply them wit tutoring in areas, that the might not understand because when u go 2 college the professor just give u work and lesson not really explaining it 2 the students and u gon 2 have more than 1 book in a class, i would really go tlk 2 a local college professor before u go so youll know wht the life is like. Your going 2 also need 2 know how 2 make money, 2 pay for personal items, having fun and i know damn well u gon want a car.
Please…
Releasing unheard 2pac 14 years later, and I’m supposed to believe “these songs could have been 2pac’s next record.”
Maynn, if that was true, it was have been out like the year after he died.
This is gonna be some shit Pac wouldn’t even have wanted to release. They could have put this “next record” material on any his 50 posthumous releases.
Not buying it. Figuratively and literally.
seconded
Wolfman, don’t judge a CD b4 you hear it. U can preview the songs first man!
Oh yeah, wolfman and beantwn, Johnny J said in his last interview that he has around 30 never b4 heard/leaked 2pac tracks in his vault which could make an All Eyez On Me part 2! Check youtube if u don’t believe me. Support dis shit! Fuck all that pop rap! Lets get 2pac back to number 1 on the charts!
I’m all for Pac albums like this. Original, no re-mixes, etc. Original tracks like “World Wide Mob Figgaz”, “This Life I Lead” & “Dumpin'” were so good and then they got remixed/remade and turned out garbage.
But then again, unreleased tracks were usually unreleased for a reason, because they were no good. I think we’ve heard all of Pac’s best material.
By the way, can we ever get a true release of “One Nation”? People have been asking for this for years and nothing…its all about business…
u never kno son mayb they wasen released due to commerical u kno pac done alot of political shit & hardcore-straight-in-ur-face-records… ima admit i liked the remixed dumpin!
2pac original records are the shit. But if they remix it with features with current rappers it will become trash.!
*SMH* Some of ya’ll man I tell ya. Anyways, true Pac fans already have these songs uncut/unmixed. Some cat broke into Deathrow years ago and stole the masters. These songs were released underground as Makaveli 2-16 or some *ish. This is when Afeni jumped in the mix and sued Suge for rights and all that stuff. I think part of their deal was, having to remix the songs. I’m not sure of the details but quite a few track couldn’t be released as Pac wanted them b/c he was using other ppls beats/instrumentals. For example, the original track “Thug in Me” was recorded on Michael Jackson’s “Liberean Girl” instrumental. Another example is “Niggaz Nature” was originally recorded on Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature” instrumental. Pac didn’t have the rights to release these songs as is, so they got “Mixed” or “Remastered” (Remastered is an opinion BTW) “Niggas Nature” got completely trashed by sticking that Gahbage Lil Mo’ on the tack. That was an insult to both me AND PAC. A great track to release, that I still have trouble finding is Bury Me A G (Solo version). 4 Versus of only Pac on the Bury Me A G song. Agree @ Hdottyslicksta. Some of his best songs has still yet to be released @dcollin4444 at all or at least in a good “mix”. @Wolfman you have to understand that Pac was trying to get up from under Suge so he was “throwing” tracks together “pay back” Suge for paying his bail. So, yes these could have been Pac’s next albums tracks as he wanted them. So He could start Makaveli Records as seen on the back of 7 Day Theory. @Bpayne I wonder the same thing man… @Quinn Jones the reference to “Biggie Smalls” in God Bless the dead has already been uncovered as Pac referring to the Drug Dealer Biggie Smalls that B.I.G. got his name from. Not necessarily the Rapper Biggie Smalls.Just an F.Y.I. @Best Rappers Don’t you think if he were still alive that he would’ve come back at the 10 year mark where he couldn’t have been prosecuted any longer for faking his death? Once September 13 ’06 passed… if he were living on some secret island or whatever you believe… You think he could’ve kept quiet all this time with Ja Rule’s biting him and what not? Pac didn’t seem like the type to STAY QUIET. But that’s just my 2cents on the whole situ’. Peace!
fuck peace ima give u a preach
let’s see if this fake ass nigga can sell 20k without lil wayne! i bet if he was alive he would’ve been paying 100k for a lil wayne! cameo

I have been waiting for a 2pac album without any remixing or editing bull for such a long time and I never thought that it would come. I have been forced to download leaked OG’s in poor quality and stick with them. Thank God the new Death Row is listening to the fans.
This album is gonna outsell Pac’s Life, watch. All the true 2pac fans will pick it up. Hopefully, this will open Afeni’s eyes and she will release the next album, after this one, in original format.
(There are around 50-60 publicly unheard 2pac track’s that were never leaked according to Death Row). Johnny J said in his last interview that he has around 30 in his vault which could make an All Eyez On Me part 2!
I read in an interview that there will be 13 tracks on this CD. I will buy it as soon as it comes out. I’m glad Suge isn’t gettin’ any of my $ and at least some of the albums profits will go to the 2pac foundation, according to Death Row. I’m gonna bump this CD so hard that everyone in my neighborhood will hear it!!! Support real hip hop!!! 2pac 4 life!!!
tupac for life, the best ever, the most hard working rapper to ever do it,
If ur on here hating bout Pac then u obvo dont know him
About time, Ive been witing since what 2001 since until the end of time came out… Looks like this will top the charts once again FUCK JAY-Z West Coast 4 LIFE!!!!
