Drake has been known to “curse” sports teams simply by supporting them, so he tried to “reverse” the curse by rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles during Super Bowl LVII to inspire a Kansas City Chiefs victory.
In collaboration with his gambling partner Stake, the 6 God posted an Instagram video on Thursday (February 16) showing him wearing an Eagles jersey and doing everything he could to spoil the team’s chances and ensure his six-figure bets on the Chiefs came through.

Drake put his acting chops to use in the hilarious clip, which found him dancing to Philly anthems like Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock” and Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares.” He even repeatedly wrote out “Fly Eagles Fly” on a piece of paper like a naughty school kid.
Drizzy’s antics paid off as the Chiefs took home the Lombardi Trophy after a 38-35 comeback victory, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes winning MVP honors. The OVO boss cashed his $700,000 ticket on the Chiefs, which resulted in a payout of just over $1.4 million.
“The Reverse Curse @stake,” Drake captioned his Instagram video, which drew laughs in the comments section from the likes of Boi-1da, Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty and Odell Beckham Jr.

It was a bet that Drake needed to hit, as six of his other Super Bowl wagers didn’t cash out. He put money on Patrick Mahomes and JuJu Smith-Schuster to score the Chiefs’ first touchdown on two separate tickets that didn’t hit. He also bet the Chiefs would win each half, but that was a loss.
The 36-year-old even put money on the Chiefs to win each quarter and for Travis Kelce and a tight end to win the Super Bowl MVP; however, neither of those three bets came through. In total, Drake lost $265,000 on those wagers.

The Her Loss hitmaker can thank the Chiefs for putting some money in his pocket all throughout the NFL Playoffs as he previously won $2.1 million on the team in January when they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship game to advance to the Super Bowl.
Drake was also tuned into the NBA earlier this month as he watched LeBron James break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA scoring record, which stood for almost 40 years. LBJ reached the historic milestone by pouring in 38 points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 133-130 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder, bringing his career total to 38,390 regular season points.
The Toronto native congratulated King James by recording a hilarious video that he claimed was filmed in the basketball superstar’s old gym in Akron, Ohio, only for the green screen behind him to come crumbling down and reveal his true whereabouts.
