Drake is giving PARTYNEXTDOOR his flowers by crowning him “the real G.O.A.T.” ahead of his new single.

On Monday (March 12), it was announced that Party would be releasing a new song called “Real Woman” on Friday (March 15) as he gears up to drop his first album in four years.

Drake shared the news on his own Instagram and heaped high praise on his OVO Sound signee.

“The real [G.O.A.T.] is back this Friday @partynextdoor,” he wrote in the caption alongside the song’s cover art.

This is far from the first time that Drake has put PARTYNEXTDOOR on a pedestal. During the singer’s homecoming show in Toronto last year, Drizzy made a surprise appearance and called him his “favorite artist in the world.”

“I don’t mean to put you on the spot or anything. I know you hate this the most,” he said while on stage. “I’m so grateful for you. I would not be the artist I am if it wasn’t for you. This is really my favorite artist in the world.”

“Real Woman” is expected to appear on PARTYNEXTDOOR’s upcoming album, PARTYNEXTDOOR 4, or P4 for short, along with the previously released “Resentment.”

In an interview with Billboard earlier this week, the Canadian crooner shed light on the project, saying: “This is the hardest I’ve ever worked on an album. This is the proudest I’ve felt. I’m excited to grind even more for the next [one]. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it.”

PARTYNEXTDOOR released his last album PARTYMOBILE in March 2020, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart with 50,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Drake featured on the song “Loyal,” with Rihanna also appearing on “Believe It.”

PND also reflected on the making of his 2016 Drake collaboration, “Come and See Me,” in his Billboard cover story, revealing he recorded the song at the edge of his bed in an Airbnb.

“I went to see Drake in the studio in Toronto,” he recalled. “He just said, ‘Yo, I want to play this record.’ And the 40 beat — that beat was amazing. You know, you just felt it right away. And he had a hook idea on it.

“So we took it back maybe two months later. I was like, ‘You know what? I gotta find something for this.’ Me and Prep locked in an Airbnb and I recorded that song on the edge of a bed in an Airbnb.

“And yeah, I just didn’t know it was gonna be that. I love that record. It’s one of my favorite records. And that was just magic.”
