Drake has added yet another accolade to his extensive collection after seeing one of his songs surpass three billion Spotify streams.
Drizzy took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (February 20) to celebrate the achievement, sharing a text message from OVO Sound president Mr. Morgan informing him that āOne Danceā has become his first track to reach the milestone.

Morgan also shared a story about the making of āOne Dance,ā revealing it was originally titled āHigh Powered.ā
āOne Dance is officially your first 3 billion stream single, the 7th ever on Spotify,ā the executive wrote in his message to Drake.

āI remember walking into SOTA & your chalk board with the working track list for VIEWS, there was a song called āHigh Powered.ā I asked which it was & you said, āItās an 85 beat I havenāt recorded yetā¦but itās the single & itās gone!'ā
Along with the screenshot of Morganās text, Drake tagged the songās guest vocalist, WizKid, along with producers Noah ā40ā Shebib and Nineteen85.
The achievement makes WizKid the first African artist to have a song with over three billion Spotify streams.

Released in 2016 as part of Drakeās Views album, āOne Danceā reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, marking the Toronto nativeās first-ever No. 1 single on the chart as a lead artist.

Drizzy spoke about the success of āOne Danceā and collaborating with WizKid during an interview with Rap Radar in 2019.
āIām not one of those people that can be inspired by something and be like, āAh, well that was inspiring, thanks,ā and then just move on with it under my arm running down the field,ā he said.
āI gotta at least honor the person that handed me off the football before I ran for the touchdown. Because when I do things, they do get magnified and amplified, people can sometimes feel uncomfortable.ā
He continued: āLike, āOh okay, āOne Danceā goes No. 1 and now all of a sudden this is Afro inspired.ā But itās like, yeah, WizKid was on the song with me. I had blessings from the real dons in that space. I know those guys, I link with those guys, I go to their shows, they come to my shows, they touch my stage.
